A Letter from Pastor Ernie Mangaoang (Founder, Filipino Bible Study)

With all humility and sincerity, I would be glad to relate a short history of the Filipino Bible Study.

We started this in my home with about 5 families, with the purpose of fellowship, spiritual growth and edification among the families that are attending with us at Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene. To mention Viva, who was still Miss Dela Cruz then, together with her Mom; Noel & Michelle Antonio; Dra. Tecson; the Vergara family and Mr. & Mrs. Dayao. Gino and Wanda Elegino were also part of the original members.

As time went by, the Bible Study group has grown with many families from the Filipino community, some Catholics. But when we moved our residence to the Southside, and with my inability to drive at night, I entrusted the leadership to Pastor Ryan Centeno and Val & Viva Pre, and I am just so happy the way they have handled it. It now has grown more and Pastor Ryan has already registered it as a community church.

THE STORY CONTINUES . . .

As the Filipino Bible Study Group continues to grow, the leadership heed the call of the Lord to plant it as a church. On March 5, 2018, Christ Love Community Church was officially born. We had our first official church service on March 10, 2018.
